New Minnesota Driving Laws Take Effect

New laws for motorists take effect in Minnesota today.

State law now bans drivers from using their cellphones unless it’s a hands-free device.

Until now, you could talk on the cellphone, but couldn’t text and email while driving.

All those practices are now prohibited.

There’s also a new law requiring motorists to stay in the right lane of multi-laned roads unless their passing or turning left.
