Election Remains Oct. 21

This year’s federal election will remain on October 21.

The Chief Electoral Officer had been asked to delay the vote by a week by Jewish Community leaders because the election fell within Jewish religious holidays which restrict observers from taking part in many normal activities including voting.

A court also asked Stephane Perrault to take a look.

Perrault saying moving the date now could impact on the vote as a whole.

Perraults says he’ll work with the Jewish Community to find ways people can still participate in the election.
