A Fort Frances man has been fined $9,000 for purchasing black bear gall bladders.
Court was told Byeong-ok Kim purchased them from undercover Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry Conservation officers on two separate occasions last year.
The Ministry set up the sting after being tipped off Kim had been buying them from other people.
It is illegal in Ontario to possess black bear gall bladders.
It is also illegal to buy or sell game wildlife, except under certain circumstances.
