The Lake of the Woods District Stewardship Association is meeting in Morson.
Executive director Diane Schwartz-Williams says part of their meeting is with Ministry of Natural Resources officials to discuss the Turtle Portage Marine Railway.
“(We’re trying to) see what people suggest as alternatives because the ministry can’t keep putting money into it; that’s the reality,” says Schwartz-Williams. “We’re just happy that they’re doing the consultation.”
Schwartz-Williams says the MNRF had planned to do a consultation in September when a lot of users and property owners aren’t around.
The Association will be meeting at the Morson Community Centre starting at 1 p.m. It session with the Ministry will follow at around 2:30 p.m.
