Northwestern Ontario Teacher Recognized

An Indigenous Educator who considers Onigaming First Nation as one of her homes has been recognized by the Canadian Teachers’ Federation.

Tesa Fiddler has been named its Outstanding Indigenous Educator for 2019.

The award recognizes leadership in Indigenous education and excellence in teaching that reflects Indigenous culture.

Fiddler is currently the Indigenous Education Resources Teacher for the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board.
