Making A Summer Splash On Scott Street & Kings of None Rock Rainy Lake Square

July 11th was The Summer Celebration On Scott Street!

It was a day filled with sidewalk sales and in store deals on The Great Canadian Main Street. Complete with a market in Rainy Lake Square.

There were also all kinds of fun activities for the whole family.

The day started in a refreshing way for me…I got the chance to sit in a dunk tank in support of The Rainy Lake Gymnastics Academy!

Citizen Of The Year Cynthia Donald threw the first ball…but she missed me!

I’m not sure how much money was raised, but I got dunked 3 times!

Kids on the street told me I should change my name to Duncan…get it?

Tea (we never got her last name) and Colton Patrick hit the target after a few throws of the ball.

A special note goes to Flint House owner Duane Cridland…Not only did his business sponsor the dunk tank, but he sent me falling into the water with just one throw!

Many others, including our very own Caitlin Hartlen, took turns in the tank as well.

Here’s to Brody Calder, Mackenzie Dunahee and Jodie Morrisseau for sinking some of them.

Armand Jourdain dunked 4 different people…but not me!

The day was capped off with a fantastic concert from Fort Frances’ own Kings Of None.

These guys rock! They played amazing covers and AWESOME original songs as well.

If there had been a roof on the Rainy Lake Square stage they would have blown it off!
