Tickets Now Available

The Fort Frances Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is set for later this summer.

It will take place at the La Place Rendez-Vous August 10th.

Committee member Terry Ogden says tickets are now available.

“Tickets are on sale at Taggs Source for Sports. We have one outlet. We find it that’s much easier. Last year we did do some online, but we sold just one so with one outlet it makes things pretty simple,” says Ogden.

This year’s inductees include power lifter Dave Mitchell who goes in as the lone athlete.

Barney Maher, Ken Christiansen, Bruce McLeod, and Mary Beth and Bob Tkachuk enter as builders.

The 1996 Canadian Police Curling Champions rink of Clint Barton, Scott Gobeil, Don Robertson and Steve Maki and the 1953-54 Jaycees Juvenile Hockey Team will also be recognized.

Scott Fawcett, who entered the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame as a builder last year, will also have his name placed on the Hall of Fame’s wall display at the Memorial Sports Centre.
