Former Liberal Cabinet Minister Joins Leadership Race

A Toronto area MPP is the latest to enter the race for the provincial Liberal leadership.

Michael Coteau made his intention official Sunday.

Coteau was the former Community and Social Service Minister under Kathleen Wynne’s cabinet. He also also one of seven Liberals to win a seat in last June’s provincial election.

He joins former transportation minister Steven Del Duca and Alvin Tedjo, a former political aide, as those seeking the leadership nod.

The Liberals will elect their leader at a convention planned for next March.
