Recycling Bin Dedicated In Honour Of Fort Frances Man

The Voyageur Lions Club is remembering a Fort Frances resident.

One of its bins for collecting used pop cans has been dedicated in honour of Arlan Scott.

He passed away last August.

A ceremony was held at the bin located near the former Sixth Street School with club members joining with Scott’s family and friends for the dedication.

Club president Travis Michl says it was only fitting.

“One of our members came up with the idea. There’s no better way to honour him than to dedicate one of our can bins since he was such an avid collector himself,” says Michl.

Scott was often seen bicycling around town with a trailer in tow in search of old pop cans.
