Former Fort Frances Resident Recognized For Volunteerism

A former Fort Frances resident is receiving a military volunteer award.

Linda Wall is to be presented the award from Governor General Julie Payette in Ottawa tomorrow.

Wall, who now lives in Winnipeg, is being recognized for her involvement with the Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps and the Army Cadet League of Canada.

She was the former program coordinator for Ontario’s Bear Wise program before retiring in 2013.

She was also instrumental in establishing the healthy breakfast program at Robert Moore Public School in 2005.
