A couple of nominations have been made on the first day of nominations in the district for this fall’s municipal and school board elections.
Bill Morrison is seeking re-election in Fort Frances as councillor.
He was appointed to council in December 2024 to fill a vacancy caused by the resignation of Mandy Olson.
The Chair of the Rainy River District School Board is also seeking re-election.
Kathy Pierroz filed her papers in LaVallee Township for trustee representing the board’s West-Central area.
Pierroz was first elected to the school board in 2018 and has held the position of chair since 2022.
