As the Fort Frances Lakers continue their incredibly successful season, they are celebrating a special achievement of one of their players
Emo’s Brady Cates has been named as the Superior International Junior Hockey League Rookie of the Year.
As a goaltender, Brady led the league in save percentage, goals against average and wins, becoming the first goalie to achieve that feat since the 2019-20 season.
Brady’s 1.84 goals against average and his 0.936 save percentage rank him within the top 10 SIJHL goaltenders of all time, and they are the best statistics for an under 18 goaltender in league history.
