Stepped up campaign against impaired driving enters its final week

Provincial Police say they have charged 69 motorists in northwestern Ontario with impaired driving during this season’s Festive RIDE campaign

The stepped-up enforcement began at the end of November and will conclude on Friday.

OPP also found another eight motorists who registered in the warn range at RIDE checks.

This comes with a 3-day licence suspension and a $250 fine for first offenders.

OPP add that more than 3,200 hours have been committed to the campaign in its first three weeks.
