The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have solidified their hold on first place in the Superior International Junior Hockey League standings.
The Ice Dogs won both their games over the weekend.
On Saturday, Dryden shut out the Kam River Fighting Walleye 2-0. That followed up on Friday’s 4-3 win in overtime over the Walleye.
The Thunder Bay North Stars also won both their games over the weekend.
The North Stars downed the Red Lake Miners 9-1 on Saturday and 7-3 on Friday night.
The Fort Frances Lakers and the Sioux Lookout Bombers split their weekend games.
On Saturday, the Lakers earned a 1-0 shutout over the Bombers, but lost 3-1 on Friday night.
