Carbon Tax Court Fight Begins Today

The province’s court challenge of the Federal Carbon Tax program begins today.

It’s being heard at Ontario’s Court of Appeal.

Ontario is challenging the constitutionality of the tax.

The Ford government argues it’s the provinces, not the federal government, that have the responsibility to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.

Fourteen groups and organizations have been granted intervener status.

Many of them are environmental groups who support the tax.
