Hiring Fair Hailed Successful

An opportunity to find a job without having to leave the school.

About thirty businesses and organizations took part in a hiring fair at Fort Frances High School Wednesday.

NCDS’s executive director Nicke Baird says students were prepared.

A lot of them brought their resumes and they’re talking to the different employers and hopefully some of them will get employed today,” says Baird.

Shooniyaa Wa-Biitong, Rainy River District School Board and the Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board also involved in the event.

Baird says staff with NCDS and Shooniyaa were also in the school earlier to help students with those resumes.

Baird was pleased with the event and expects it to become an annual one.
