Between the two national holidays, the towns of Fort Frances and International Falls celebrated their decades long friendship by signing a Declaration of Friendship to promote unity between the neighbours across the bridge.
The event was hosted by the Town of Fort Frances at the Fort Frances Civic Centre on July 2nd 2025 and was well attended by members of both Town Council’s
Fort Frances Mayor Andrew Hallikas and International Falls Mayor Drake Dill shared a few words before officially signing the declaration and then raising the Minnesota flag.

The Town Fort Frances also hosted a barbeque that was well attended by residents of both The Fort and The Falls.
