Northwestern Ontario Student A Finalist In Duct Tape Tuxedo Contest

A high school graduate from Thunder Bay has entered the annual “Stuck at Prom” scholarship contest and is now one of five finalists in the tuxedo portion of the competition, which is open to students from Canada and the U.S.

It took this young man, whose name is Bronson Aggamway, over 130 hours and more than 20 rolls of duct tape to make the tuxedo that could win him a $15,000 scholarship from the manufacturers of “Duck” brand duct tape.

Bronson, recently graduated Hammarskjold High School, and he’ll be attend Lakehead University this fall to pursue a career in nursing.

As for the Duct-Tape Tux Contest… Now it’s up to the public decide.

Online voting is open now, and will continue until July 9th, with the announcement of the winner taking place one week later.

Voters are allowed to cast a ballot every day until the contest closes. Vote for Bronson here

Bronson, says that was motivated to enter the contest partly because another student from northwestern Ontario, Monica Walsh, who graduated from Dryden High School, won the prom dress portion of this same competition last year.
