A temporary fire ban is in place for the townships of Chapple, Emo and LaVallee.
It was imposed on Monday after members of the Chapple, Emo and LaVallee Emergency Services were called to a grass fire on Morley Township Road.
They had the fire contained but were still on the scene Tuesday checking for hotspots.
About 40 hectares were scorched.
The fire ban was put in place because of the resources needed to fight the fire.
