Fort Frances picks new councillor

Fort Frances has its new councillor.

Bill Morrison was chosen after interviews with mayor and council earlier this week.

The seat was left open after Mandi Olson-Walton resigned over concerns with the town’s Indigenous Relations Advisory Committee.

Morrison was selected in a public vote amongst council and he’ll be working with town until at least the next municipal election in 2026.

Six candidates were vying for the seat.
