SIJHL begins regular season tonight

The Superior International Junior Hockey League begins regular season play this weekend.

The newest team in the league, the Ironwood Lumberjacks host the Red Lake Miners tonight.

Elsewhere, last year’s league champions, the Sioux Lookout Bombers are at home at the Thunder Bay North Stars.

And both the Kenora Islanders and the Fort Frances Lakers are looking for better seasons, as they meet at the Ice For Kids Arena.

Tomorrow night, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs start their campaign at the Northwest Arena against the Kam River Fighting Walleye.
