Rainy River’s health team looking for input from the community

The Rainy River District Ontario Health Team (RRDOHT), is offering residents a chance to get involved in their planning and decision-making.

The team is launching a new Patient and Family Advisory Committee.

The committee’s goal is to empower the voices of patients, families, and caregivers by adding their input into RRDOHT’s planning through an advisory role on its leadership council.

Committee members will be tasked with assisting the health team in enhancing the overall healthcare experience, ensuring health services in the Rainy River District are patient-centred, equitable, and effective.

“This is a unique opportunity to be a part of something meaningful and impactful, helping to shape the future of healthcare in our district,” says RRDOHT Executive Lead Jackie Park. “We’re seeking a diverse group of passionate individuals — patients, family members, and caregivers — with unique perspectives and experiences with healthcare services in the Rainy River District.”

Honorariums and compensation for other expenses will be offered to those who are accepted.

Interested residents in any Rainy River District communities are encouraged to visit the RRDOHT website here, to learn more.
