2 arrested after vehicle hits ditch

Two Fort Frances residents are facing several charges.

They come after provincial police were called Sunday at around 8:30 p.m. about a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 611 North, near Kliner Road.

When investigating, police say the driver provided a false name.

They also found them to be impaired.

The 23-year-old woman was charged.

Police also learned the vehicle had been taken without consent.

This resulted in additional charges against the driver and a 27-year-old man.

The man was later released and will appear in court in September.

The woman was held in custody pending a court appearance on Thursday.
