Canada’s women’s Olympic soccer team pulls out win against Colombia

A much-needed win for Canada’s women’s soccer team.

They had a six-point deduction at the Paris Olympics.

They needed the win against Colombia Wednesday afternoon for any hope of a medal.

This after the Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed the Canadian Olympic Committee and Canada Soccer’s appeal for the point deduction.

The punishment came after a team staff member used a drone to spy on New Zealand’s practices.

Canada beat Colombia, 1-0.
