Grand Council Treaty 3’s Grand Chief has some help.
Cheyenne Vandermeer from Couchiching First Nation will serve as a deputy under Frances Kavanagh.
The position and her election were made at this week’s Spring Assembly at Rainy River First Nation.
Kavanaugh had indicated the workload had become too large for one person, forcing him to choice between multiple events and gatherings that required his attendance.
