NWO Sports Hall of Fame inducts 5

The Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame will induct five people and one team this fall.

Ryan Parent of Sioux Lookout and Bill Seagris from Red Rock are being inducted in the athletes category.

Parent spent most of his hockey career playing for the Philadelpia Flyers.

In the builders category, Jamie Compon, Peter Gallagher and Peter Young will be joining the hall.

The 2010 Thunder Bay AA Midget Queen’s will be inducted in the team category.

They are the only women’s hockey team from northwestern Ontario to win a national championship.

The 40th class will be inducted at a ceremony on September 30th in Thunder Bay.
