Fort Frances searches for depot builder

Construction of a new recycling depot may not start until next month.

The town of Fort Frances is in the process of seeking proposals from interested contractors.

The tendering process will end on August 22, with a recommendation going to council likely in early September.

The town’s new online service for tenders shows as many as eight contractors have picked up the materials associated with the project.

Residents have been without curbside blue box pickup since the end of May when an arson fire destroyed the former depot.
