Falls hospital acquires riverfront land

Rainy Lake Medical Center (RLMC) says it sets the stage for the future of healthcare in International Falls.

The RLMC has acquired land along the Rainy River between the U.S. Border Patrol and Voyageurs National Park headquarters.

Officials are still working on the exact plans for the land.

Chief Executive Officer Robb Pastor says it ensures they have the resources and space necessary to expand and evolve that enhances services.

“As we look to the future, we understand the paramount importance of staying ahead of the curve, remaining adaptable, and embracing upcoming challenges and opportunities,” states Pastor in a statement. “This acquisition reflects our vision for progress and growth, ensuring our position as a leading healthcare provider in the region.”

While viewing the acquisition as a significant step toward future development, Pastor emphasizes no final decisions have been made on any build or expansion at this time.
