The clean-up is underway around the Lake of the Woods area following an overnight storm.
Strong winds brought down several trees.
There are no reports of any injuries.
Hydro One says it is dealing with over 30 separate power outages impacting as many as 1,500 hundred homes and businesses west of Kenora and near Sioux Narrows.
It expects power to be fully restored later this morning.
The township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls has also closed White Moose Golf Course because of fallen trees.
It says telephone service has also been impacted in that area.
Owners of the Laughing Water Trailer Park have also closed because of storm damage.
