Drug charges laid against Dryden woman

A woman wanted on an outstanding warrant is now facing new drug-related charges.

OPP says a traffic stop earlier this week led to the arrest of a 29-year-old Dryden resident who was the subject of the warrant.

Her arrest led police to search a home on Third Street in Dryden, where they discovered an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine and Canadian cash.

The woman now faces charges of drug trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.

The woman is now being held in custody pending a court appearance next week.
