A Fort Frances man is the latest winner of Riverside Foundation for Health Care’s 50-50 cash draws.
Fred Brown takes home $12,138 in May’s draw.
Brown is a long-time supporter of the draws, having purchased tickets from its inception.
He is also a dedicated Foundation donor.
The Foundation notes that just two years ago, the roles were reversed, and it was the Foundation taking a picture with Brown handing a cheque to the Foundation.
No word yet on how Brown plans to use his winnings.
Proceeds are now going toward a new fridge and temperature control monitors for the pharmacy at Riverside.
With the over $12,000 raised in May’s draw, the Foundation says it is now about a third of the way toward having all of the funds necessary.
Meantime, tickets for June’s draw are now available at www.riverside5050.ca or by calling the Foundation Office at 274-4803 to arrange for offline sales.
