Emo Walleye Classic kicks off tournament season

The first major fishing tournament of the season opens in Emo today.

More than sixty anglers are taking part in the 22nd edition of the Emo Walleye Classic.

They are vying for more than $20,000 in prizes.

Boats are leaving from the Front Street Boat launch this morning.

First-day weigh-ins get underway this afternoon at the Emo-LaVallee Arena at around 4:30 p.m.
