One person arrested in drug bust

A search at an apartment complex in Fort Frances has resulted in a drug trafficking charge against a man from Brampton.

OPP, their Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), and Canine Unit (K9), with assistance from Treaty Three Police, executed a warrant Monday night at the complex on Fifth Street East.

Police discovered an unspecified amount of what they believe to be cocaine.

An amount of Canadian currency and other items related to drug trafficking were also seized.

The 30-year-old was also charged with possession of proceeds obtained by crime.

He made a court appearance on Tuesday to answer to the charges.
