Winnipeg woman killed in collision west of Kenora

A 24 year old Winnipeg woman has been identified as the person killed in a fatal collision west of Kenora Monday night.

The accident took place around 9:00 between three vehicles near Burma Road.

The OPP say despite life saving efforts the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the other SUV sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and were later transferred to hospital in Winnipeg.

The occupants of the pick-up truck were not injured.

The Trans-Canada Highway was closed for over 12 hours.
