The boating season is well underway in Minnesota.
Voyageurs National Park and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary are teaming up to offer voluntary vessel safety inspections.
It is an opportunity to ensure your vessel is safe and has the required safety equipment.
Inspections will be offered at the Kabetogama Lake Visitor Center’s boat launch on Friday, May 19, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
They will take place at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center launch next Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Inspections will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
