OPP to answer your questions at Business Expo

There will be a police presence at the Fort Frances Curling Club this weekend.

OPP will be among those with booths at the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.

Constable Bradley Scoyne says it will be a good opportunity to talk about a career in policing.

“The OPP is always hiring and looking for potential candidates for future civilian and uniform positions. If you ever have had any questions about employment with the OPP, come and stop by and say hello,” says Const. Scoyne.

OPP will also be holding a recruiting session later in May.

It will take place on May 15 at the Rainy River District detachment in Fort Frances from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

OPP are also promoting boating safety as the weather warms up and the ice begins to melt from area lakes and rivers.

Free preseason and dockside vessel inspections are planned for May 12 and 13, moving between the Sorting Gap Marina and the NOTAM Causeway boat ramps.
