NWO Pitch It winners announced

Vic Moss of Mosswood Adventures and Rentals has won the second annual Northwestern Ontario Pitch-it contest.

She was one of five finalists for the award, and took home $5,000 for her pitch, which is for her outdoor adventure business.

In second place, were Rod and Marion McKay, also from Kenora, for their business Sc-Wrap Environmental Services.

They won $3,000.

In third place were Brennan and Colin Hochstedler of Sioux Lookout for their ice-fishing product, called the Icelander and the winners of $2,000.

Rounding out the top five pitches were Paloma Corrin of Pal’s Ice Cream of Kenora and Brendan McDonald from Boreal Audiology in Dryden.

$1,500 in vouchers for professional business support services were also awarded.
