Fort Frances town council will hold a special meeting on Monday night to appoint an Interim Chief Administrative Officer.
Operations and Facilities Manager Travis Rob is expected to fill the position until a permanent replacement for Faisal Anwar is found.
Anwar departed unexpectedly last Thursday.
No reason has been given.
He was hired in August 2021.
Also Monday, council is expected to name someone to fill the vacant position of Chief Building Official and Municipal Planner.
In February, council approved hiring two consulting firms to handle the duties of both jobs because of hiring difficulties.
The positions had been vacant since November 2021, when former CBO/Municipal Planner Cody Vangel moved to a new job within the town.
He was still filling in, when necessary, until the middle of February.
