Inmate charged with having drugs in jail

A 31-year-old inmate at the Fort Frances jail has been charged with drug trafficking.

It stems from an OPP investigation last month.

Police were called to the jail on February 28 about an inmate in possession of an illegal substance.

Officers would later seize an unspecified amount of methamphetamine.

The inmate, who is from Winnipeg, is now still behind bars waiting for a court appearance at the end of this month.
