Nurses And The OHA Begin Contract Talks

Contract talks between the Ontario Nurses’ Association and the Ontario Hospital Association are underway.

Staffing shortages and wages are the main issues on the table.

ONA’s Interim President Bernie Robinson says they are putting hospitals on notice that the days of unconstitutional wage caps and untenable working conditions are over.

Nurses don’t have the right to strike, but the ONA and its members will be planning a series of escalating actions to back demands over the coming weeks.
