Provincial Funding For Riverside Health Facilities

The Ontario government is investing $874,810 to support critical upgrades and repairs at Riverside Health Care facilities.

The money comes from the provincial Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund and the Community Infrastructure Renewal Fund.

The government is also providing Riverside with COVID relief funding.

A total of $323,351 is going to cover operating expenses for the months of April to June.

Another $68,266 will reimburse human resources expenses for the same time period.

And $295,200 is set aside for Pandemic Prevention and Containment costs.

This one-time funding is intended to offset a portion of ongoing pandemic-related operating expenses from July 1 to March 31, 2023.

Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford made the announcement in Fort Frances.

Rickford says, “We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our health care partners in Rainy River and will continue to make targeted investments that will lead to improved health outcomes for Northerners.
