Three Charged With Having Stolen Road Signs

The discovery of stolen road signs has resulted in charges against three Fort Frances residents.

It was a vehicle driving on King’s Highway in Fort Frances at around 2:30 a.m. last Thursday with no lights on that led police to pull it over.

The road signs and an unspecific amount of suspected narcotics were found inside.

Two men, a 20-year-old and a 24-year-old from Fort Frances, and a 20-year-old woman from Couchiching were arrested on charges of possession of property obtained by crime.

The 24-year-old was also charged with trying to provide police with a false identity.

The 20-year-old man faces an additional charge for failing to comply with a request to take a test for impaired driving

Additional charges related to the drugs found are pending.
