Former Emo Arena Manager to be Remembered

He was known as the Zamboni Man.

Tony Bliss, who passed away in last August, will be honoured this Sunday at the Emo-LaVallee Community Centre.

Bliss was the long time arena manager.

Emo councillor, Lori Ann Shortreed, Tony was instrumental to the centre.

“His dedication and commitment to making sure that the arena was a place where everyone was welcomed and that people felt comfortable coming in and that the players playing hockey and doing figure skating had an opportunity to skate on some great ice,” says Shortreed

A memorial plaque will be unveiled at 3 p.m. Sunday with a free family skate taking place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
