Bridge Likely to Remain Closed until 2023

Don’t expect to see the Rainy River Tributary Bridge on Highway 602 open anytime soon.

The Ministry of Transportation says plans to repair or replace the bridge are not scheduled until 2023.

The bridge was shut down last week over concerns about its integrity.

A resident told Alberton township council last month that the bridge had slipped as much as 34 inches.

To get around, motorists must detour using Oakwood Road, Highway 11-71, Ducharme Road and Bone Road.
