Police Dept. Getting New Glocks

The International Falls Police Department is getting some new guns.

Fall City council approved the purchase of nineteen new Glock pistols.

Police Chief Mike Kostiuk says it wasn’t an easy purchase.

“We had a difficult time all year long trying to procure these firearms. We shopped everywhere we could. We were lucky enough to get what I think is a very good quote,” says Chief Kostiuk.

The total cost came in at $2,966 U.S.

“That’s with trading in all our guns, and we worked really hard to get the price as little as possible, and I think it’s more than fair,” says Chief Kostiuk.

The department usually upgrades its firearms every ten years or so.
