The adventures of Goaty the Goat are coming to an end.
The goat has been traversing northwestern Ontario this summer.
It was spotted by unsuspecting residents between Fort Frances and Kenora before ending up at Amy Mosionier’s farm in Kenora.
The search for Goaty’s owner has come up empty.
Mosionier took it upon herself to find a suitable home and came across one in southern Ontario.
“He’s going to Cedar Row Farms, a sanctuary. It is in Lakeside, Ontario. It’s about an hour and a half outside of Toronto, and they have a large abundance of every kind of farm animal you can think of. It’s more like a goat paradise,” says Mosionier.
She has started a GoFundMe page to help cover the expenses of shipping Goaty by plane from Winnipeg.
The goal is to raise $2,500.
The GoFundMe page says that will cover $475 in screening and other required fees, a wooden crate, costing $500, for Goaty to ride in, and his plane ticket of $608 plus tax.
