ON Extending Paid Covid Sick Days

If you need to take time off to get tested for Covid-19, eligible workers will still receive up to $200 a day.

Since April 2021, the provincial government has provided a payment to eligible employers to cover workers missing time in order to get tested, vaccinated, receive booster shots, self-isolate, or care for a family member who is ill from COVID-19. This benefit has been extended until March 31, 2023.

Those workers will continue to receive up to $200 a day for up to three days if needed and the government will continue to reimburse the eligible employers for the paid leave days.
