Parts of Point Park Open

Parts of Point Park in Fort Frances are now open to the public.

Access to the park and its tenting area have opened up, but vehicle traffic is still prohibited.

You have to walk in for now.

Parts of Front Street are still closed as well.

The area around the Sorting Gap Marina was opened last week.

The walking and bike paths, fitness equipment and marina were also made accessible.

Other areas along Front St. remain closed. They include;

  • Front Street (Williams Avenue to Minnie Avenue; Mosher Avenue to Armit Avenue)
  • Sorting Gap Playground
  • Sorting Gap Gas Docks
  • Lookout Tower
  • The Hallet
  • River Front Docks
  • Point Park (closed to vehicular traffic only)
  • Point Park Beaches
  • Point Park Playground
  • Point Park Ball Diamond
  • Seven Oaks
