First Climate Action Incentive Payment Today

Starting today, provincial residents will get the first of three installments from the Climate Action Incentive Program.

The program was put in place to help individuals and families offset the cost of the federal pollution pricing.
Ontario is one of four provinces where the program was set up.

The amount you receive today depends on your family situation.

Ontario residents can expect $186 for an individual and $93 for a spouse or common-law partner.

For every child under 19 in your family, you will receive an extra $46, though the first child in a single-parent family will be credited $93.

Married couples will only receive a single payment with the money going to the account of the person whose tax return was assessed first by Canada Revenue.

Future payments will be issued on October 15 and January 15, 2023.
