Second COVID-19 vaccine doses for children aged 5-11 will be available in the coming weeks.
The child-sized vaccine first became available to kids in that age bracket near the end of November.
Health Canada recommends eight weeks between doses.
For those eligible, appointments for the second dose would begin on January 21.
Meantime, immunocompromised Ontarians will be able to book appointments for a fourth dose.
The province has already started giving out fourth doses in long-term care homes, retirement homes and other congregate settings.
The portal opens this morning for those who have had 84 days pass since their third dose.
Appointments are made through the provincial booking system; COVID-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine.
